Duties
The District Attorney represents
the state in all cases in Superior Court. The District Attorney
also handles all
cases taken up from the Superior Court to the Court of Appeals and
the Supreme Court. Specific duties of the District Attorney
include advising grand juries in matters of law and drawing up indictments.
The District Attorney also prosecutes indictable offenses and represents the State's
interest in civil actions and criminal case appeals which interest
the state.
