A library cart containing an assortment of reading materials is made available weekly.

1. The general library in the Sumter County Jail includes a collection of books and magazines.

2. The Sumter County Jail is to insure that detainees are provided access to the library.  A cart will be brought to each dorm weekly.

   Mon - Pod A Dorm 1-6;
   Thurs. - Pod B Dorm 1-5;
   Fri. - Dorm 5 (when open);

3. Books will be cared for by the detainees that check them out or they may lose their library privilege.

4. Each dorm will be given 3 magazines each month.

5. Each dorm will receive the daily issue of the Albany Herald and the published issues of the Americus Times Recorder.
