County
Administrator Role
The County Administrator is the
Chief Administrative Officer appointed by the Board of Commissioners.
The Chief Administrative Officer is responsible to the Board
of Commissioners for the proper and efficient administration
of the affairs of the Sumter County Government. The County Administrator
performs these responsibilities through the various department
directors and administrative personnel, who report directly
to the County Administrator.
Duties
of County Administrator
To ensure that the governing board's policies are carried
out.
Assist in developing those policies and other goals.
Provide administrative leadership to the departments of
the county government.
Develop and present an annual budget.
Strive for efficiency, effectiveness and innovation in
the delivery and funding of services.
Liaison officer between the elected officials and county
commissioners

There will be a charge of twenty-five cents
($0.25) per page that is copied. An administrative fee for
the search, retrieval, monitoring and other direct administrative
costs in conjunction with filling a document request, will
also be charged. This cost represents a fee of $6.49 per hour
(after the first quarter hour) of the salary of the lowest
paid full time employee who possesses the necessary skill
and training to perform the request.
