(Such as New Drive way Installation, Resurfacing Existing Paved Drives, Paving Existing Unpaved Drives, Grading or Landscaping Work or Utility Work in Connection with Water Lines, Sanitary Sewer Lines, Telephone or Power Lines, Etc.) WITHIN COUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAYS, THE PROPER PERMITS MUST BE SECURED FROM THE SUMTER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.

PLEASE ARRANGE FOR SUCH AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE, IF APPLICABLE.

The following permits must be obtained from this office:

• Building Permit
• Inspections are required for:
• Footings
• Foundations:
• Before placement of concrete.
• Floor Framing:
• Before decking is nailed in place
• Electrical/Plumbing/HVAC:
• After all wiring
• Plumbing
• Framing members are in place, but before insulation or sheetrock is put up
• Final: Before occupancy, but after all work is completed.
• Mobile Home Placement or Movement within or Out of the County
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC

Permit fees are based on the contract cost of the job.
